Excellent third position of Augusto Fernández in Le Mans

The rider of the FlexBox HP 40 achieves its second consecutive podium crossing the finish line in third place; Baldassarri goes to the ground but remains the leader of the championship.

The riders of the FlexBox HP 40 faced Sunday of races of the Grand Prix of France in the Circuit de Le Mans with great hopes of achieving a good result and, this time, luck has been mixed.

After a complicated qualifying, Baldassarri and Fernandez started from the seventh and fourteenth positions, respectively. After a good start of both, for Baldassarri the race was finished in the first laps after going down when he was rolling in the fourth position. It is a pity to leave the Grand Prix of France like that, but the positive thing is that there is no regret for any injury and it is still the leader of the championship.

Race of less to more the one that has made his teammate, Augusto Fernández. From the fourteenth position, the Spaniard has been climbing positions and imposing his pace, beating his rivals to reach the positions of honor. He has fought for the second and third place, the latter being the one he has achieved and thus adds his second consecutive podium in a circuit completely unknown to him. A great result to close a good weekend.

The FlexBox HP 40 will return to action on June 2 with the dispute of the Italian Grand Prix at the Mugello Circuit.

Augusto Fernández, 3rd, +1.800
"I'm very happy to get another podium. The truth is that it was not easy as we were starting from a long way back, but little by little I went back to the first positions. We knew we had the pace and if we kept calm we would arrive and that's how it was. Adding another podium is important for the championship and we should continue like this. Thanks to the team once again for the good work".

Lorenzo Baldassarri, fall
"It was a pity to end the weekend in this way. We were starting from seventh place and I made a mistake on the second lap on the piano and I could not help falling. The rider behind me hit me on the head and I lost consciousness and a dislocation of the right shoulder, but I am well and prepared for the test that we have next week in Barcelona. Thanks to the team for the work during the whole weekend that has not been easy and it's time to think about Mugello and give our best as always."
