First row for Augusto Fernández in Jerez

The rider of the FlexBox HP 40 will start the Grand Prix of Spain from the third position; good qualifying for Lorenzo Baldassarri, sixth.

Positive second day of the Grand Prix of Spain at the Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto for the FlexBox HP 40 in his first grand prix of the year at home.

Under climatological conditions similar to yesterday's, with high temperatures and clear sky, the riders of the FlexBox HP 40 have been able to confirm the good sensations of the first day and achieve a good qualifying.

Following the plan established by their respective technical teams, both Baldassarri and Fernandez have done a good final free practice, qualifying directly to Q2, with the aim of fighting for the positions of honor.

Both have come out together in the qualifying and have done a good team work throughout the session. Fernandez, who returns after his injury, has set a best time of 1:41.323, which helps him to get on the front row for the first time and start the grand prix from the third position. A very good qualifying of the spanish rider of the FlexBox HP 40. And just one tenth has been placed teammate and leader of the championship, Baldassarri. The time of 1:41.450 gives him the sixth position and will allow him to fight for the victory tomorrow.

A good day for the FlexBox HP 40, which tomorrow will race at 12:20, scheduled at 23 laps.

Lorenzo Baldassarri, 6th, 1: 41.450 (+0.268)
"Today we did a good qualifying session to get the second row of the grid. The objective was to qualify among the first positions for tomorrow's race, which will be complicated. It's not an easy weekend but now I'm calmer after this day. The team is doing a great job and together we have achieved it. I want to take the opportunity to highlight the good training of Augusto, we made the timed together and it went well, so congratulations."

Augusto Fernández, 3rd, 1.41.323 (+0.141)
"I am very happy with this first row and more after the injury. Together with the team, we are working very well all weekend. The mystery is how tomorrow I will be able to hold my arm, le't see during the whole race. If it hurts, it will be hard to hold, but I'll do my best because the objective is to try to fight for the first podium."
